Besides, it ca be used in conjunction with 1 2 switching elements to constructa internaU]REFD=E] pa ket switch [1], orca bea7=UDS in constructinga multicha7SF ATM switching structure [5], [6]. As well known,a distributorca be built out of the combina7EF ofa running adder (RA)aA a revers banyan network (RBN) (see Fig. 1) [7]. In this structure, the runninganni counts the number ofa]E8 e inputpa kets as as endsa dummyaEEEF7 to ea h a]Ex epa ket. Ea hindividua bit of the dummyaE dress is used to control the setting of the corresponding 22sC- elements (SE) in the RBN. So,a norma power-of-two distributor of NN size with N =2<F12.1
