Description
Summary:This report outlines an investigation into the use of such models to convert skin SST from the SAF algorithms to a bulk measurement. It is intended that operationally the SAF Atlantic product will use a combination of observations from geostationary instruments and from the Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR). The work here concentrates on AVHRR data since the observations are global and have a lower noise level.
