Description
Summary:My name is Victor Lind and I’m the author of this essay, I study International economics on Luleå University of Technology. I choose this subject since the financial crisis fascinates me, Spain is on the brink of ruin and it’s therefor very interesting to study their country right now. To carry out this research I’ve gone down to Spain to live there for six weeks, while in Spain I studied the surroundings and gathered my interviews. The main source for me was the interviews that were collected, I also had the privilege to live with a Spanish family where the father had lots of knowledge about the crisis and Spain. I also got help to reach out to important people trough him so I could accomplish my interviews, this was the source that influenced me most of all. The essay is about the crisis situation in Spain, what they did and what they should have done differently. A reader can by reading this essay get a deeper understanding about the crisis in Spain and also about measures to subdue a crisis. The main conclusions in this article are that Spain should have put a stop on the housing bubble in an early stage through higher interest rates and restrictions on mortgages. They should also done all of their support measures 3-4 years earlier instead of waiting with them.
