Summary:All facilities used for the controlled growing and harvesting of aquatic plants and animals in the State, whether on public or private lands, must be registered annually. All forms of marine plants, fish and shellfish that are approved by the Fish and Game Commission may be cultivated. Registration forms are issued by the Department of Fish and Game under provisions of the Fish and Game Code and regulations of the Fish and Game Commission. Pertinent regulations are cited in this leaflet. Fees are indexed and will change each year. You can find the current fees at the following California Fish and Game, License and Revenue Branch web site www.dfg.ca.gov/licensing/statistics/statistics.html under the Special Licenses and Permits Heading and on the application. How to Register Aquaculture Facilities A person desiring to propagate and rear marine life should make application on Form FG 750 attached to the back of this leaflet.
