Representatives on the Committee and its Task Forces are drawn from the ministries and agencies of the Canadian and British Columbia governments, as well as academic, industry and First Nations stakeholders. RISC evolved from the Resources Inventory Committee (RIC), which received funding from the Canada-British Columbia Partnership Agreement on Forest Resource Development (FRDA II), the Corporate Resource Inventory Initiative (CRII), and Forest Renewal BC
