Summary:Abstract: The Regulatory Impact Review (RIR) provides decision-makers and the public with an evaluation of the social and economic effects of alternative measures to minimize chum and other salmon bycatch in the Bering Sea pollock fishery. This document addresses the requirements of Executive Order 12866, Executive Order 12898, and other applicable federal law. The Environmental Assessment that accompanies this document provides decision-makers and the public with an evaluation of the environmental effects of the alternative to address the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act and other applicable federal law.
