Description
Summary:Concentrations of benzene hexachlorides (HCHs) and p,p'-dichlorodiphenyl trichloroethanes (DDTs) were determined in the ABALONE samples of Antarctic collected from six sites around Chinese Antarctic Great Wall Station and one site from another country's sewage outfall. The results showed that concentrations HCHs and DDTs in the ABALONE were in the ranges of not-detected to 1.87 ng/g and not-detected to 6.61 ng/g (dry weight) respectively. Recovery of organochlorine pesticides in the samples was 46% similar to 75%.
