ILRI Genebank sends plant samples to the Global Seed Vault at Svalbard

ILRI sent its animal feed plant samples to the global seed vault at Svalbard, in the Arctic Circle, which opened in 2008 to help conserve global genetic resources. This will help poor farmers feed their animals in the face of rapid changes to their systems.
