Summary: | The results of a validation of the ORCA simulation for the CMS Endcap Muon cathode strip chamber front-end electronics are presented. A comparison of the simulation results with test-beam and pulser calibration data is done for the cathode strip pulse shape and the cross-talk. The three types of data are compared using two methods ? fitting the pulse shapes to find the shaping times and cross-talk coefficients, and directly comparing the pulse shapes and cross-talk time dependence. The ORCA description of the pulse shape is found to be adequate, though the cross-talk modeling could be updated using recent pulser calibration data as a basis. |
