| Summary: | The present report gives information on video counting of migratory salmonid populations using the pool fish pass of the hydroelectric power plant of Pardies-Artix in the course of their upstream migration on the Pau River from mid June to late November 2000. Globally, on the entire period of investigation, 123 Atlantic salmon and 35 sea trout were found using successfully this upstream fish passage device. From video counts of fish passage at Pardies-Artix since 1996 along with additional information gained from several radio-tracking operations on effective upstream passing of obstacles located further downstream of Pardies-Artix plant, it can be given a global estimation of the annual abundance of Atlantic salmon in the Pau River, i.e. a minimum of 200 up to 300 adult fish returning to the river. / Ce document présente le suivi des passages de salmonidés grands migrateurs au niveau de la passe à poissons de Pardies-Artix de la mi-juin à la fin novembre 2000. Sur l'ensemble de cette période, ce sont 123 saumons atlantiques et 35 truites de mer qui ont emprunté ce dispositif de franchissement. Les comptages de passages de saumons sur ce site depuis 1996 associés à la franchissabilité des obstacles situés à l'aval déterminée grâce à différentes études de radiopistage, permet d'estimer que 200 à plus de 300 saumons remontent annuellement sur le gave de Pau.
