Description
Summary:The evolution of the ammonia excretion has been monitored for the siberian sturgeon during a fasting period. This excretion quickly decreases for various weight classes, and then reaches a constant level. The results seem to show that the sturgeon basal metabolism is very weak and that food alone is resonsible for the existence of a nychteremal cycle.
