Description
Summary:Collection dirigée par le Centre de recherches et d’études nord-américaines (CRENA) Université Paul-Valéry Montpellier II International audience Almost all the papers in this collection were given at a symposium held at Université Paul-Valéry, in Montpellier, France on May 16 and 17, 2006, to honor Anishinaabe author Gerald Vizenor. The occasion had been designed as a gathering of the best-known and most prestigious scholars in the field; it also was an opportunity for younger scholars and the University students to participate in their own right, and make the most of this two-day meeting. Hopefully, it was conceived as the first of a series of biennal, international conferences on Native American literature in Montpellier, with the next one in May 2008.
