Description
Summary:This article deals with the strategies, in words and in deeds, implemented by three missionaries in the Russian North at different periods between the beginning of the 18th until the beginning of the 20th centuries - Filofey Leshchinski, archimandrite Veniamin and Irinarkh Shemanovski - and discusses the relative weight of Zeitgeist and the personality of each missionary.
