Summary: | National audience This article concentrates on the first administrative territorial unit in the Russian North. It is actually a pilot project, an experience; the first national district named according to the indigenous people that inhabits it is the Nenets national okrug (1930). It has been chosen because it is in the European part of Russia and its inhabitants are the first indigenous people to have met and known rthe Russians. This article presents this experience. |
