Summary:This paper involves a study of the problems a tank company will encounter when operating under extreme cold weather conditions. The weather and terrain discussed is of the type found in the Winter Warfare Area of the world exclusive of the Arctic. The report includes that additional training deemed necessary to prepare a tank company for operations in these areas. This study does not contemplate presenting to the reader any recommendations as to the development or adoption of new equipment but more to present the problems that will be encountered with equipment and training methods presently in use. Recommendations for overcoming these various problems are discussed in each chapter.
