Summary:This paper will detail the mobilization of 3rd Army Augmentation Company, Detachment 6, Fort McPherson, Georgia. The events that led up to the mobilization and the role that the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate performed will be the focus of this paper. During November 2002, the soldiers of 3rd Army Augmentation Company, Detachment 6, were alerted for possible mobilization. The company was about 100 Soldiers. These Soldiers made up replacements for all Staff Sections within 3rd Army. In late October of 2002 3rd Army deployed to Camp Doha, Kuwait, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. After arriving in the AOR, 3rd Army made the decision to mobilize its Augmentation Company, Detachment 6, On 2 January 2003, 3rd Army Augmentation Company, Detachment 6, was mobilized to Fort McPherson, Georgia, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, with forward movement to Camp Doha, Kuwait.
