Description
Summary:Thesis Statement: The U.S. Military Forces are poorly trained and lack operational readiness (e.g. experience, training, funding, and equipment) to face an Arctic War. “Climate what’s expected, but weather what you get.” The scope of this paper will illustrate the implications of Arctic Warfare such as: Terrain, Potential Threats in Cold Weather Regions, The Conduct of Operations, and Experiences of Military Operations in Cold Weather Regions. The combination of weather conditions and the lack of proper training, and the proper equipment can cause cold weather conditions to drastically limit the military’s readiness and operational capabilities.
