Description
Summary:Due to a policy of assimilation implemented by the authorities of Norway from the 1860’s the Sami people have lost a large part of their language and culture. Even if this minority has since gained the rights and status of indigenous people, it still has to fight to make its language and culture fully accepted. The Sami accuse the government of not applying correctly the laws which give them specific rights.
