Summary:This article describes the conflict between beekeepers and brown bears (Ursus arctos) and proposes recommendations for the resolution of this conflict and bear removal in the Black Sea region. This article emphasizes biodiversity issues and summarizes the beekeeping practices in the Black Sea region in Turkey based on reference statistical figures. Secondly, it reports the occurrence and the distribution of brown bears in Black Sea Forests and discusses the conflict between bears and beekeepers. Thirdly, it tries to show how the conflict is removed via both the traditional and modern way with pictorial representations. Finally, recommendations are made for future bear-beekeeper conflict resolution in the Black Sea region in Turkey.
