Description
Summary:The research of concrete corrosion under the influence of agressive carbonic acid is a long and complex process, therefore it is very important that results should be properly analyzed and conclusions received could be used while increasing the durability of building constructions. Concrete and reinforced concrete products, such as pipes, drainage mouth, culverts, wells etc., are widely used in the land reclamation construction. Their life depends on the environment in which they will be installed. The article deals with the concrete corrosion effects of prolonged exposure to aggressive carbon dioxide, which results in concrete strength decrease, and concrete layer damaged by carbonic acid occur. This layer is measured by the depth of corrosion, which allows predicting what the situation will be in 50 or more years.
