Summary:The Inuit Circumpolar Conference is an international non-government organization representing Inuit from Russia, USA, Greenland, and Canada on all matters of international importance for Inuit. ICC was founded to promote Inuit unity, to work towards the protection of the Arctic environment, and to ensure that Inuit were involved in the policy-making process of all matters affecting them, as well as their lands and their seas. The organization holds Consultative Status II at the United Nations and defending the human rights of Inuit is mandate of ICC.
