| Summary: | The Ninth General Assembly of the Northern Forum was conducted in Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada, 1-3 September 2009. A Quorum of the members of the Board of Governors was present at the General Assembly, along with numerous guests, business partners, advisers, and observers. The members of the Board of Governors reviewed past initiatives, while looking to the future in terms of the organization’s objectives, and considering the ongoing, global, economic situation. The General Assembly also included the FOGAR (Forum of Global Associations of Regions) Executive Committee meeting, bringing representatives from 9 different associations from around the globe to the Yukon.
