Summary:The Arctic Wetlands and Indigenous Peoples Study (AWIPS) is part the Resilience and Management of Arctic Wetlands Initiative (RMAWI), a project led by the Swedish Ministry of the Environment and Energy and the Stockholm Environment Institute through the Arctic CouncilĀ“s Conservation of Arctic Flora and Fauna (CAFF) working group on biodiversity. AWIPS aims to capture the fundamental role Indigenous Peoples play in biodiversity conservation through engagement in Arctic wetland protected areas management.
