| Summary: | Based on the geological and geophysical data on North-East Atlantic margins, the aim of this study is to define the directions of the extension of the different margin segments, and then to constrain the margin formation models in order to try and quantify the extension. The proposed scheme is to try and integrate the available geological and geophysical constraints, keeping in mind that the future data on the deep structure of the margins could quickly lead us to reconsider it. The first kinematical consequences of this scheme are examined. (unverified OCR) Partant de l'ensemble des données géologiques et géophysiques obtenues sur les marges de I'Atlantique Nord-Est, le but de ce travail est de définir les directions de l'extension pour les différents segments de marges, puis de contraindre les modèles de formation des marges, afin d'essayer de quantifier l'extension. Le schéma proposé est un essai d'intégration des contraintes géologiques et géophysiques actuellement à notre disposition, sachant que les futures données sur la structure profonde des marges pourront le remettre en cause très rapidement.
