Summary:Program - This document is a souvenir program from the opening ceremonies of the Athabasca bridge, which occurred on June 9, 1952. The program contains a schedule of the day's events, which began with a parade, and then an inspection of the Athabasca Air Cadet Squadron, followed by a band concert by the RCAF Band, bridge opening ceremonies, and a band concert following the ceremonies. Later a banquet, presentation and dance was held in the Community Centre. Also contained in the program was a brief history of river transportation on the Athabasca River, including the use of scows, ferries, and the cable cage system (12 pages)
