| Summary: | By this survey, the first samples of ?novel? that occurred in both Arabic and Turkish literatures have been researched and compared under the gleam reflected from the science of comparative literature. At first phase (the first and the second chapters), the novels have been individually discussed in their own, with some brief information reflected out from their authors aiming to shine a light on the social and cultural conditions of the communities connected. Karşılaştırmalı edebiyat bilimi ışığında, Türk ve Arap edebiyatlarında ilk ?roman? örneklerinin inceleme ve mukayese konusu yapıldığı bu çalışmada, ilk aşamada (ilk iki bölümde) romanlar kendi içinde ele alınmış, yazarları hakkında kısa bilgi verilmiş ve mensup oldukları toplumların sosyal ve kültürel koşullarına ışık tutulmaya çalışılmıştır.
