Description
Summary:Iron, manganese and aluminium concentrations have been determined in modern and ancient East Antarctic snow from sea-ice and continental sites. Modern snow samples were collected from sites in Prydz Bay, Dumont d'Urville sea, Ross Sea and Princess Elizabeth Land. Trace metal concentrations in ancient snow were determined form ice cores drilled from Law Dome, Wilkes Land. The ice cores analysed included DSS, DEO8-1 and BHC1. This work was completed as part of ASAC project 827 (ASAC_827).
