The documents comprise typed reports and papers, as well as a large quantity of collected data. These data are primarily microbiological data collected from humans and animals. The animals from which data were collected include: Rockhopper penguins Gentoo Penguins King Penguins Adelie Penguins Weddell Seals Skuas Data were collected from locations such as Wilkes Station, Mawson Station, Davis Station, Macquarie Island and the Ross Sea. One document pertains to a joint United States and New Zealand expedition on the &Glaciers&.
