Summary:The bibliography covers a wealth of published, 'grey', and unpublished literature addressing the effects of longline fishing on seabird mortality. The scope is global, but with a special emphasis on the Southern Ocean. Information on longline methodology is included and attention is given to materials that cover the various mitigation methods in use, tested or proposed. Further, information on the relevant aspects of the ecology of affected seabird species is covered, especially that dealing with mortality levels, at-sea distributions and population and conservation biology. Data sources covered include the scientific literature, popular publications, newspaper articles, videos, brochures, maps and posters, as well as government, NGO and IGO reports.
