Description
Summary:Volumes of the catchment of Deep Lake in the Vestfold Hills, Antarctica were calculated by the Australian Antarctic Data Centre at the request of Harry Burton of the Australian Antarctic Division. The volumes calculated were above the following levels: 1 Lake surface 2 Lowest point on the lake catchment boundary 3 Sea level 4 The level of a terrace above the lake, estimated to be at 4 metres above sea level. The zip file available for download (see a Related URL below) includes the procedure and data used to determine the catchment of Deep Lake and to then calculate the volumes. The data includes a digital elevation model (DEM) of the Deep Lake area and a triangular irregular network (TIN) model of the Deep Lake catchment.
