Description
Summary:Statement: The Drake 79 moorings carried current meters, thermistor chains and TP recorders. The current meter records were obtained with Aanderaa RCM5 current meters. The North Transport mooring carried 4 thermistor chains, each 100 meters long. Data from moorings that were in place for at least 6 months in deep water and include meteorological data, pressure records and temperature records gathered by the Oregon State University (OSU) Buoy Group over a span of more than 35 years. In addition, included are a number of electronic (i.e., browser-formatted) data reports. This dataset relates to current meter records from the 5th phase of the 5 year OSU/TAMU experiment.
