Description
Summary:Maintenance and Update Frequency: unknown Statement: Data are numerical or categorical. Data collected for most fishing days since 2006. The frequency of sampling has increased over time. Instruments used: Research pots with a diameter of 1.4 m, a height of 50 cm, and a mesh size of 55 mm. Data processing and conversion steps: Data sheets are filled in by fishers and provided to SARDI for processing. Points on a map will represent sample sites. Sample size: During 2010, >10,000 crabs were measured by fishers from 482 boat days. Funded through industry cost-recovery. For further information: refer to technical reports describing data collection and analysis (available with the permission of SARDI Aquatic Sciences on behalf of PIRSA Fisheries and the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Fisheries). Data custodian: South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI) Aquatic Sciences on behalf of Primary Industries and Regions SA (PIRSA) Fisheries and the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Fisheries. Industry contribute financially and share ownership of the data. A data policy is currently being prepared by PIRSA Fishries and Aquaculture.
