Description
Summary:Progress Code: completed Maintenance and Update Frequency: asNeeded Statement: Data source: original field data. Data processing and quality control by Marine National Facility Data Acquisition and Processing Group (DAP). Data archived by CSIRO O&A - Information and Data Centre (IDC). Data processing was completed and archived 21/01/2016. The atmospheric pressure values (atmPressure) showed unusual characteristics and have been marked as suspect. The optical rain gauge sensor (which provides 'opticalRainRate', 'opticalRain') was not installed during this voyage. Due to a fault in the sensor interface application software the siphoning rain gauge values were incorrect and have been set to NaNs . The relative wind direction values for the ultrasonic wind sensor showed unusual characteristics and have been either NaNed or set to suspect. There were a few sections of salinity data that was highly noisy and have been either NaNed or set to suspect. QCed depth data may be obtained from processed GSM data. Please see processing report for full details. Credit This data was collected on the Marine National Facility (MNF) RV Investigator voyage IN2015_V01 Credit Underway data processed by A. Sarraf (O&A Credit Hobart) from the MNF Data Acquisition and Processing group. This record describes Underway (UWY) data collected from the Marine National Facility RV Investigator Voyage IN2015_V01 titled "IMOS Southern Ocean Time Series Automated Moorings for Climate and Carbon Cycle Studies Southwest of Tasmania". The voyage took place between the 21st and the 30th of March, 2015 (local time) departing from Hobart and sailing to the south-west of Tasmania (47 S, 142 E) and returning to Hobart. Instrumentation and sensors: The standard Underway (continuously recorded) dataset included Navigation (NAV), Thermosalinograph (TSG) and Meteorological (MET) data. NAV data includes GPS (Global Positioning System) measurements of latitude, longitude, ship's direction, speed and depth. MET data includes atmospheric ...
