Windmill Islands cores: marine and lacustrine sediments

Cores were analysed for grain size, TOC, del C13, CNS ratios, 14C age determinations, Amino Acid Racemisation ratios and diatom content. Analyses were conducted at Macquarie University, Alred Wegener Institute (Germany), University of Tasmania and University of Colorado (Boulder). Data has been GPS-...

Description
Summary:Cores were analysed for grain size, TOC, del C13, CNS ratios, 14C age determinations, Amino Acid Racemisation ratios and diatom content. Analyses were conducted at Macquarie University, Alred Wegener Institute (Germany), University of Tasmania and University of Colorado (Boulder). Data has been GPS-located; accuracy constrained by dither to ca 100 m. The sediment cores are the most complete set to be taken from Windmill Islands and they include two complete postglacial marine sequences, basal till and sub-till marine sequences. Twenty-six marine and lacustrine sediment cores were taken from Windmill Islands during the 1998/99 season. They have been analysed for physical, chemical and biological parameters by a multidisciplinary team under ASAC project 1071. The download file contains 12 Excel spreadsheets of data.
