Quality flags can be interpreted as follows: 0 - greater than 1000 metres 1 - less than 1000 metres 2 - less than 350 metres 3 - less than 150 metres A - 3 message location B - 2 message location Z - unvalidated location See the ARGOS website for further information. This dataset contains the results from satellite tracking the movements of Adelie Penguins (Pygoscelis adeliae) from Shirley Island near Casey Station, Antarctica. By the use of satellite fixes the foraging locations of the penguins were determined. Monitoring occurred during the 1995-1996 summer season. This work was compeleted as part of ASAC project 2205 (ASAC_2205), 'Adelie penguin research and monitoring in support of the CCAMLR Ecosystem Monitoring Project'.
