Description
Summary:Progress Code: completed Maintenance and Update Frequency: notPlanned Statement: Data source: original field data. Data processed according to current CMAR data processing standards. LICOR light meter faulty - data flagged as suspect; anenometer failed in October - wind speed, direction and max gust flagged as bad; rain guage removed - rain flagged as bad Credit Underway data processing by Bernadette Heaney This dataset contains the Underway (UWY) data collected on the Southern Surveyor voyage SS 11/2006. The voyage took place in the Tasman Sea from 30 October - 12 November 2006. This dataset has been archived within the CSIRO Marine and Atmospheric Research Data Centre in Hobart. Additional information regarding this dataset is contained in the voyage plan and voyage summary. The standard Underway (=continuously recorded) dataset from a research voyage includes Navigation (NAV), Sounder (PDR), Thermosalinograph (TSG) and Meteorological (MET) data. NAV data includes GPS (Global Positioning System) measurements of latitude, longitude, ship's direction and speed. MET data may include atmospheric temperature, humidity and pressure, wind speed and direction, and incident radiation intensity. Data are recorded at 10 second intervals.
