Summary:Statement: Aanderaa RCM8 and 20 current meter moorings (19 of which were recovered) stretching most of the way across the Indian Ocean at 20 degrees South. Credit Oregon State University Purpose After completion of the World Ocean Circulation Experiment project the data were made available to the public. Data from moorings that were in place for at least 6 months in deep water and include meteorological data, pressure records and temperature records gathered by the Oregon State University (OSU) Buoy Group over a span of more than 35 years. In addition, included are a number of electronic (i.e., browser-formatted) data reports. This dataset relates to current meter records from the Indian Ocean current World Ocean Circulation Expirement component ICM3 file.
