| Summary: | Maintenance and Update Frequency: notPlanned Statement: Statement: Collection methods:Most zooplankton collections were made with a 160 cm diameter, 750 cm length, 1 mm mesh net designed by Omori (1965), with a modified large cod-end (5-litre PVC cylinder). The net was towed for 10 to 15 min through subsurface water (Most specimens of krill used in this study were collected with a rectangular net (3x3 m mouth, 5.6 mm mesh aperture) fitted with an opening-closing cod-end (Foxton, 1963). The net was towed horizontally at depths in which swarms of krill had been located with an acoustic fish finder (general range: 20 to 50 m depth). Tows were made during both day and night.
