Summary: | This project will undertake site preparation, weed control, re-vegetation with native seedlings, foreshore rehabilitation, bank stabilisation and fencing across several key sites in the Shire of Murray. It is aligned with several significant Indigenous and heritage sites including the Herron Point Reserve, Cooper's Mill and the Pinjarra Massacre site. These areas are all linked to the Ramsar listed Peel-Harvey Estuary via the Murray River tributary. The re-vegetation will include the creation and rehabilitation of key Black Cockatoo habitats. Clean up work will be undertaken around the heritage listed Cooper's Mill which is situated on a delta island within the Ramsar listed area. |
