Description
Summary:Maintenance and Update Frequency: asNeeded Statement: Original field data. Note that 1min average data is provided as a special request, however it is unedited and has data quality implications. For general use, the 5min average data (os150nb.nc) should be used. Credit ADCP data processed by Vito Dirita (CSIRO NCMI, MNF Data Acquisition and Processing group). Credit These data were collected on the Marine National Facility (MNF) RV Investigator voyage IN2023_V04 Credit The MNF must be acknowledged in all outputs derived from Data and/or Samples collected by, or with support from, the MNF. Acknowledge the MNF in outputs with the statement: “We acknowledge the use of the CSIRO Marine National Facility (https://ror.org/01mae9353 ) in undertaking this research.” Acknowledgment and citations should be in all forms of publication including presentations (where the acknowledgement should be on the closing slide), journals, books, reports and related research outputs. This record describes the Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) data collected from the Marine National Facility RV Investigator voyage IN2023_V04, titled: "International nutrient inter-comparison study in the Southern Ocean: quantifying and identifying the causes of differences in dissolved inorganic nutrient datasets between global seagoing laboratories - Phase 2." The voyage took place between June 5, 2023 and June 18, 2023 (AEST), departing from Hobart and returning to Hobart. The OS150 unit was run for the majority part of the voyage. The OS75 was running with three beams for the duration of the voyage. Experts at University of Hawaii determined that the fourth beam is broken and will require servicing by RDI to rectify. Additionally, some electrical noise was observed, to be further investigated when returning to port. Acceptable data was obtained using the three-beam solution, with a slightly compromised range of around 600m. It is recommended that the OS75 is operated as normal for all upcoming voyages. ADCP data were collected using ...
