Description
Summary:Progress Code: completed A coupled wave-ocean-ice model was developed and the data generated is presented here. This data is produced by global coupled model WW3-MOM6-SIS2 which is adapted from Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory (GFDL) global ocean and sea ice model OM4.0. The model has nominal 0.25º horizontal unstructured grid and 75 layers in vertical space. The wave model WaveWatch 3 is coupled to MOM6-SIS2 considering non-breaking wave-induced mixing at ocean surface (Babanin2006) and wave generated momentum flux to ice (Boutin2020). In the meantime, ocean currents and ice concentration/ thickness are transferred from MOM6-SIS2 to WW3. The data includes output of the coupled WW3 - MOM6 - SIS2 model. Output of the numerical simulations are in NETCDF format and include monthly ocean, ice and wave parameters. Simulations cover the year 2014, with nominal 0.25º horizontal unstructured grid and 75 layers in vertical space.
