Description
Summary:Maintenance and Update Frequency: asNeeded Statement: Original field data. Data processing and quality control: Performed by V. Dirita, NCMI DAP Group. Note that 1min average data is provided as a special request, however it is unedited and has data quality implications. For general use, the 5min average data (os150nb.nc) should be used. Credit ADCP data processed by V. Dirita (CSIRO NCMI, MNF Data Acquisition and Processing group). Credit These data were collected on the Marine National Facility (MNF) RV Investigator voyage IN2022_V03 Credit The MNF must be acknowledged in all outputs derived from Data and/or Samples collected by, or with support from, the MNF. Acknowledge the MNF in outputs with the statement: “We acknowledge the use of the CSIRO Marine National Facility (https://ror.org/01mae9353 ) in undertaking this research.” Acknowledgment and citations should be in all forms of publication including presentations (where the acknowledgement should be on the closing slide), journals, books, reports and related research outputs. This record describes the Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) data collected from the Marine National Facility RV Investigator voyage IN2022_V03 titled: "SOTS: Southern Ocean Time Series automated moorings for climate and carbon cycle studies southwest of Tasmania". The voyage took place between May 4 and May 15, 2022 departing from Hobart (TAS) and returning to Hobart (TAS). . The ADCP was run for most of the voyage, it was switched to passive mode during PLAOS (Profiling Lagrangian Acoustic Optical System) deployments due to interference with the USBL. The 75 kHz ADCP was turned off in shallow water reducing interference with the EM710. Data was collected using UHDAS and post-processed using CODAS. Both the RDI Ocean Surveyor 150kHz ADCP and the RDI Ocean Surveyor 75kHz ADCP were run in narrowband. Internal triggering was used. The drop keel was set at 7m below the waterline for the duration of the voyage. Please refer to the voyage Computing and Instrumentation ...
