Raw counts of diatom species in 18 surface samples collected during the French PACIMA- and Antarctic CRC (South Tasman Rise)- cruise missions

Diatom distributions in the polar regions have been attributed to physical and biological processes. To contribute to an existing diatom database (Pichon et al. 1992), 18 sediment surface samples were taken from the French PACIMA- and Antarctic CRC (South Tasman Rise) cruise missions. These samples...

Description
Summary:Diatom distributions in the polar regions have been attributed to physical and biological processes. To contribute to an existing diatom database (Pichon et al. 1992), 18 sediment surface samples were taken from the French PACIMA- and Antarctic CRC (South Tasman Rise) cruise missions. These samples were then prepared so that the diatoms could be identified and counted.\n\nThis dataset provides the raw diatom counts for the 18 surface samples collected.
