Description
Summary:Predicted Sea Floor Topography and Free Air Gravity derived from Geosat Altimetry generated by Walter Smith and David Sandwell. This data are part of the Southern Ocean Geophysical Data cd-rom, a collection of geophysical data for the Southern Ocean (south of 30 South). The Predicted Seafloor Topography is an inferred data set and is not true bathymetry. It is, however, the best estimate of seafloor topography available resulting from satellite gravity data and actual ship depth measurements. The grid spacing is 3 minutes of longitude by 1.5 minutes of latitude.
