Description
Summary:This dataset provides mooring data from the Amery Ice Shelf Ocean Research (AMISOR) Experiment deployments. Oceanographic measurements were conducted in the vicinity of the Amery Ice Shelf on two cruises, during the southern ocean summers of 2000/2001 (cruise AU0106) and 2001/2002 (cruise AU0207). An array of 9 moorings comprising current meters, thermosalinographs and upward looking sonars were deployed along the ice shelf front in February 2001 during the first cruise, and retrieved on the second cruise in February 2002. The Antarctic Climate and Ecosystems Cooperative Research Centre (ACE-CRC) deployed the moorings and processed the data. The dataset includes seawater velocity, temperature and salinity data. The AMISOR Experiment includes ctd data that are part of the related collection "Conductivity, Temperature, and Depth (CTD) sensor and water sample data from the Antarctic Climate and Ecosystems Cooperative Research Centre (ACE-CRC)".
