Description
Summary:The "American Craftsman" was on display from May 22 - September 13, 1964 at the Musuem of Contemporary Crafts. The exhibition included the work of 30 craftsmen, including a special section devoted to work by American Indians and Eskimo craftsmen. Also included as part of the exhibition was a photographic essay "The Studio Craftsman Observed" by Sam Richardson. The photo-essays sought to convey the emotional, creative, and physical environment of studio craftsmen, living in contrasting areas of the United States.
