Description
Summary:Siberian temple baroque architecture of XVII–XVIII centuries, which was originally developed on the basis of Moscow, Northern Russia and Ukrainian techniques finally was created as a style, being experienced the Eastern (Mongol and Chinese) influence. Due to the economic upturn of Siberia, caused by the development of border trade with China in the town of Kyakhta and due to the network of regional trade fairs in Yeniseysk, Irbit et al., the Asian (Chinese, Mongolian, Indian) products began to spread in Russia, forming the consumers’ tastes and aesthetic feeling of the population. Therefore such architectural styles as “Totma baroque” appeared in the XVIII century in the Russian North and the European part of Ural region, being similar to “Siberian baroque”, can be attributed to the in- volvement of these regions into unified system of international trade be- tween “East and West”.
