Summary:This paper will analyze the environmental security challenges facing the Kingdom of Denmark in relation to climate change which poses both significant threats and opportunities for society. Addressing these issues can only be done through cooperation bi- and multilaterally. The paper begins with an introduction to the Kingdom of Denmark, followed by a small section on the concepts ‘security’, ‘environmental security’ and ‘small state’. Then following section will examine the impact of climate change on the Denmark and its environmental policy. Lastly, the paper will discuss the environmental threats and possibilities facing the Kingdom of Denmark.
