Description
Summary:Publication history: Accepted - 30 May 2022; Published online - 6 September 2022 A recent survey of The Canyons Marine Conservation Zone provided noteworthy records of several crustacean species, which are presented here. The geographic or bathymetric ranges of several species are considerably extended, while the genus Rhachotropis, which has not previously been reported from British waters, is represented by two species. Other species that were previously only known in British waters from very few, often historical, records are also reported. Sample collection and analysis was funded by Defra under the MB0129 project to support designation, monitoring and management of English Marine Conservation Zones (project code C5785). Bathymetry data used in Figure 1 were collected by the National Oceanography Centre from RRS James Cook (survey JC125) under the COmplex Deep-sea Environments: Mapping habitat heterogeneity As Proxy for biodiversity (CODEMAP) project (ERC Starting Grant no. 258482). Preparation of the manuscript was partially funded by Defra (under project code C5784).
