Beaufort Gyre wintertime mixed layer depth and mixed layer properties derived from Ice-Tethered Profiler observations in the Arctic Ocean over 2006-2017

This data contains properties of the December – May mixed layer in the Beaufort Gyre region of the Arctic Ocean. Properties, such as the depth and density of the mixed layer base, are derived from Ice-Tethered Profiler observations during 2006-2017. The Ice-Tethered Profiler data were collected and...

Description
Summary:This data contains properties of the December – May mixed layer in the Beaufort Gyre region of the Arctic Ocean. Properties, such as the depth and density of the mixed layer base, are derived from Ice-Tethered Profiler observations during 2006-2017. The Ice-Tethered Profiler data were collected and made available by the Ice-Tethered Profiler Program based at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (https://www2.whoi.edu/site/itp/). This is the exact dataset used to investigate interannual variability in wintertime mixed layer depth and density in Cole and Stadler, 2019 (ST Cole, and J Stadler, 2019, Deepening of the winter mixed layer in the Canada Basin, Arctic Ocean over 2006-2017, Journal of Geophysical Research, 124, 4618-4630).
